| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford f-150. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle decelerated independently with a rapid increase in engine rpms. The brake pedal was engaged and the vehicle came to a stop. There were no warning indicators illuminated at the time of failure. The vehicle resumed normally upon restarting however, the failure recurred four times. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for diagnosis but the technician was unable to locate the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000. |
