| Description of the problem | We just set up an appointment with our nearest ford dealer to have the recall taken care of witch is still an hour and a half drive. Then on friday before the appointment it started to rattle and died while traveling thru a controlled intersection. I made it home barely and when i took it to the shop today i was told that it had a defective timing chain that ford was aware of but are not willing to fix. Bottom line is it ruined the engine and now i am stuck with a $10,000 bill. The safety issue is if this would have happened on the road to the dealership i could have crashed over the steep terrain. |
