| Description of the problem | When turning vehicle either left or right as sharp turn as possible at a low rate of speed, the check engine light came on, traction control light came on and the turn signals stopped working. The only way to reset turn signals, traction control light and engine check light was to cut truck off, restart then drive backwards about 10 yards and the light went out and turn signals started working, to correct the problem berglund ford service dept said i needed a new steering gear. This was a very expensive fix, $2046. 40 and in my research this year truck was having this problem wide spread. I feel there was a design problem as the steering gear is not a part that normally fails on a vehicle, |
