Description of the problem	While driving in the rain i attempted to merge onto i-74 near indianapolis, in. The ecoboost engine lost power and the "check engine" light came on. The truck shook and vibrated like the engine was only running on a couple of cylinders and had virtually no power. We were nearly rear-ended by a semi that we were trying to merge with. I drove very slowly on the shoulder for an extended time as there was no place to get off the highway. Finally it seemed to regain power and we headed on home to illinois. The check engine light stayed on.
