| Description of the problem | Purchased truck new april 2012. While driving on the interstate i tried to accelerate past a slower vehicle. The truck would hardly run, lost power and speed. This is a known problem with ford ecoboost engine. Unfortunately i did not do my "homework" on this engine package. Many complaints of this problem can be found on the internet. Ford motor co. Knows and admits that there is a problem with condensation build up in the intake tract of this engine. It has been aproblem from introduction. They still have not found a "fix" for this defect. So far this truck has been to the dealer 2 times for this problem and nothing has worked. This truck is dangerous to myself and my family. If it is raining while driving, it will hardly run. It is unsafe to own or operate. |
