| Description of the problem | Experienced with my new 2012 ford f150 ecoboost. While trying to rapidly accelerate to pass another slow vehicle, my vehicle lost power and began to shake violently almost creating an accident. After pulling to side of the road to allow other vehicles to pass vehicle seemed to idle correctly. Upon trying to resume travel vehicle missed and shook off and on for the next 5 mile or so. During this time the check engine light was flashing but was not in a safe place to pull over and stop. After traveling approximately 5 miles at around 15 to 20 mph check engine light went away and engine seemed to run correctly. Then slowly resumed 55 mph travel with no further incidents. Has happened several times since then but not as bad and didn't last as long. |
