| Description of the problem | After driving all day in the rain, i went up a freeway on-ramp accelerating to merge with traffic. Engine started shaking badly, and lost almost all power. I moved to the right safety lane to get out of traffic. After about one minute the engine regained power, stopped shaking, and i was able to continue normally. I went online and discovered that many f150 ecoboost owners have the same problem but ford refuses to acknowledge the issue, and does not offer a recall or standard fix. So i just avoid hard acceleration on rainy days and have not had the issue again. It is a dangerous problem though. |
