| Description of the problem | Straightening our vehicle in parking place at home depot. Slowly (~2mph) going forward with foot on brake when engine suddenly speed up. Mashed down hard on brake while shifting into neutral. Tires or clutch screaming so loud it drew a group of yardmen unloading a truck nearby. Shortly after getting it shifted into neutral engine resumed normal operation. Took to ford dealer immediately and will be evaluated after the holiday. Several times in the week prior to incident i noticed some slight "stuttering" of the vehicle when slowly moving forward to park in driveway, also noticed for the past 1 to 1. 5 months there has been a 2+ mile per gallon decrease in fuel mileage running over the same routes. |
