| Description of the problem | Truck has 3. 5l ecoboost v6 engine. 18 may 2013. Was traveling on two lane highway in central georgia. Pulling a 3000 lb utility trailer. Had been driving in light rain for about one hour. Speed limit was 55. I was following a car that was going about 45 mph. When i got to a slight uphill grade there was a passing lane available and clear of other vehicles. I pulled to the left lane to pass the slower vehicle in front of me. I pressed the accelerator about 3/4 down to attempt a downshift of gears. The truck immediately began vibrating/shuddering and lost almost all power. I pulled back to the right lane and held light pressure on the accelerator and was able to maintain about 20 mph speed. I held the throttle steady and after about two minutes the engine regained full power and i proceeded on my trip. |
