Description of the problem	on my way home last october after picking up my new f-150 at the dealership i was attempting to pass a car on the interstate. It was on a hill and when i pushed on the gas to try and pass the car the truck shuttered and slowed down losing power and speed. The best way to describe it was that it "bogged" down. There was no engine light. However, i knew something was wrong, but i figured i would have it checked out when i came in to get the running boards installed. A couple of days later, however, an incident occurred that was a bit more dangerous. I was attempting to pass a slower car on a two lane highway (no hill) when the same thing happened when i pushed down on the gas to speed up to pass--the truck simply bogged down--losing power and speed. The engine light came on. I took it to the dealership and they have said that there has been reported similar problems with the engine and ford was working on a fix. But so far there has been nothing from the company. I have avoided the problem by not accelerating the engine rapidly but this is not a permanent fix.
