| Description of the problem | On wednesday september 30, 2020, my 2012 ford f-150 was involved in a 35mph front end collision. The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle. The driver side airbag did not deploy. I am concerned why airbag did not deploy. After accident, there was an amber "airbag malfunction" warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. In 2012, there was a ford f-150 recall # 12v198000 for passenger airbag control sensor module (ocsm). This vin # was not included in recall. This vehicle may have a faulty ocsm that was not included in the recall. I am going to ask the repair shop to save this vehicles "black box" and ocsm in case there is need for further investigation of these parts. |
