Description of the problem	2010 f-150 was parked overnight in a residential driveway in freezing temperatures. When the truck was started at about 7 am the temperature was around 15 f. The truck was started and allowed to idle for about 10 minutes. When the driver entered the truck the rear defrost was started. While the truck was still parked and about 1 minute after the defrost button was hit there was a large pop. Upon investigation, the driver's side panel of the rear window had shattered. There was no evidence of anything striking the window, and there had been no visible defects to the window prior to the incident. The cause appears to be related to the defrost being activated in the cold temperature.
