Description of the problem	2010 ford f150 xlt; bought from a used car dealer 2/7/2015. On 3/27/2015 i took the truck in for an oil change & was told that the rack & pinion was damaged; went to the dealership & they had the rack & pinion replaced. Took the truck in for an oil change on 9/26/2016 & once again i'm leaking power steering fluid. I contacted the repair shop & they have no paper record of the repair & neither does the dealership. I called every parts store in the area & none of them have a record of selling the repair shop that particular part for my make & model truck. There is one parts store that will be willing to do an exchange for the old part but only with the repair shop that originally did the work. I don't want that guy working on my truck anymore because when he put the part on the first time, he put it on with zip ties! This part costs around $375 plus labor & i don't have that kind of money. Not with raising 2 kids by myself because their deadbeat dad won't get a job to help with expenses. I have to keep power steering fluid on hand at all times because i never know when i'm gonna have to add some to the truck. I've noticed that same "whine" in a lot of ford trucks driving by my house & something needs to be done. I have no warranty on my truck anymore & i can't afford to buy one of those extended warranty things you see online or on tv commercials.
