| Description of the problem | The front passenger side interior door handle broke, preventing the passenger from being able to open the door. In an emergency, the passenger would be unable to exit the vehicle without someone opening the door from the outside. I rarely have passengers, other than my preschool-aged son, who rides in his child seat in the rear passenger side seat. There is a recall for interior door handles for my vehicle's model year, but not for my vin for some reason. Perhaps the recall should be expanded. The failure was noticed when a passenger was trying to exit the vehicle in a parking lot. |
