| Description of the problem | The hood release latch on my 2010 ford f-150 truck in on the sidewall near the floor on the cab. I have had the vehicle for about a month and it appears that my left foot released the hood release latch and allowed the hood to open while i was driving. This is a very dangerous place to put the hood release latch. It apparently snagged on my shoe and was pulled back as i exited the vehicle and i was not aware of it and there are no warning light to make the driver aware of this potential problem that the hood is in the unlatched condition. On my previous ford trucks, the hood release latch was mounted at the lower edge of the dash board and was out of the way of accidentally being released. |
