| Description of the problem | About april 2017 i noticed a ticking noise coming from the engine area of my truck. I also noticed hesitation when i accelerate and my fuel economy has dropped. There is a distinct jerking sensation when driving. My concern is that the vehicle does not want to accelerate in certain gears and i feel this is a safety concern. My truck has the ford 5. 4l v8 engine and upon my own research, this engine is notorious for the cam phaser going bad, along with other related issues. |
