| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford f-150 crew cab. The contact stated when the review defroster was activated the rear passenger side window exploded. The tempered glass shattered but did not fall into the cabin. In addition, a burning odor and smoke emitted from the rear window seal without flames being visible. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for a diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and they stated that the defect was not covered in the service warranty. The approximate failure mileage was 45,800. |
