| Description of the problem | While parked, parking lots and tail lights stay on despite switch position, then when truck put in drive, radio goes out... Then wipers fail to work, illuminated odometer flashes along with 4wd indicator light and interior dome light. Dealer claims water in gem panel???? Internet search shows hundreds of similar with more dangerous results, such as being locked in car when power locks fail or wipers fail during rainstorms. Ford issued spec. Msg to dealer #15773 and knows of problem for years, but hasn't notified owners to fix before damage occurs to fuses and a major repair is needed. They claim warranty period is over, but leaks occurred during warranty period but problems didn't manifest until after warranty period. |
