| Description of the problem | Truck stalls coming to a stop at red lights/stop signs. Also stalls while simply driving down a street or highway/interstate. After shutting down recently (while driving on the interstate), the truck was towed. I was traveling at 65mph on interstate at the time and was able to drift into emergency lane. After several tests, learned there was a problem in the fuse box. The fuse to the fuel pump was melted in the fuse box. Was told the fuel pump on these years pulls more than required amps and is overheating the fuse and melting it. Was told the fuse box would need to be replaced and ford has a 4 to 6 week back order on these. Because of so many issues. Not fair for consumers to pay for this engineering mistake. |
