Description of the problem	I turned on my defrost on my rear truck window, let the truck warm up as it was -5, started to drive down the street, doing 50 km, heard a loud "pop" and the back sliding window shattered on the driver's side. Luckily it stayed intact as i was on my way to work. I stopped at ford to see what they could do, as i researched the problem and hundreds of people have experienced this same issue with the ford trucks. The service manager at ford said he coulnd't do anything for me as i no longer had warranty. He wanted to charge me $1200 for a new window. I called ford motor co. And they also said they couldn't do anything about it (even tho it is a common problem). I had the window fixed by an independent company for half the price ford would have charged. I believe this should be a recall, as it is certainly a safety hazard. There are several complaints about this issue on the nhtsa site.
