Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2009 ford f-150. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal was stuck intermittently while traveling approximately 70 mph on a major highway with the cruise control engaged. The contact disengaged the cruise control and the failure occurred intermittently. The contact had to drive onto the emergency lane, shift into neutral gear and applied force to the brake pedal; however, the vehicle surged forward while the brake pedal was applied. The contact had to turn the vehicle off and restart it in order to reset the computer. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer several times and they were unable to replicate or diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
