| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2006 ford f-150. When the contact attempted to shift out of the park position at a car wash, the vehicle accelerated out of control. The vehicle crossed the road, went into an apartment complex, and crashed into a concrete block. All four tires were flattened. There were no warning indicators illuminated. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The dealer (sabine river ford in orange, texas) was contacted and stated that there was no recall and that the failure was unusual. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall. The manufacturer placed the contact on hold for twenty-five minutes and did not return to the phone. The failure mileage was 112,000. |
