| Description of the problem | Dt*: the contact stated while attempting to install a child safety seat in the vehicle, it was noticed that the rear driver side upper seatbelt bolt was not torqued all the way in. The contact expressed that the bolt looked like it was hand turned 3 resolutions. There was a plastic cover that covered the bolt head and usually sat flush against the vehicle's structure. In this situation, the threads were visible, and the cover did not sit flush with the body. The vehicle was a rental, and the contact expressed that there may be other vehicles with the same problem. The manufacturer was going to be contacted after filing a complaint with the nhtsa. |
