| Description of the problem | 2006 f150 fx 4 -4x4 super cab 5. 4 l. I traded the exact same truck in an 04 model year for this 2006. Ford has refused to fix ( for 3 model years ) : drive train vibration, drive train howl/whine. The 04 was in the shop 6 times with no fix. My 06 in the dealership now. I haven't made the first payment or the first oil change. Problems not present on test drive. Started at 500 miles. Other problems include : brake pedal is mush. It never firms up. It will go to the floor. Doors wont shut without slamming. Super cab doors wont shut tight without pushing top in. My best fuel economy is 13 mpg highway with the cruise on. The "new" f150's are a disgrace to the ford name. $ 38,000 p. O. S. !! My last ford. *nm |
