| Description of the problem | During normal highway driving the gas tank was ruptured on a f150 supercrew 4x4 king ranch by unknown debris. The gas tank does not have a protective shield. It is available as an option, it is standard equipment on the 4x4 model, which i found out later. Upon arriving at our destination we noticed the fuel was spilling, i called roadside assistance, they recommended i call the fire dept. They were able to stop the leak and the vehicle was towed to the nearest dealership. The gas tank was replaced and i do have the old tank. *nm |
