| Description of the problem | Vehicle started missing and bucking. Brought into mechanic and was told this is a very common problem with triton 5. 4l engine. Needs spark plug change and chances are they will break off in engine while changing (which 5 out of 8 did). Total cost a shameful $800 (estimate was between $600-$1200). Mechanic pulled out many prior invoices from owners with the exact same issue. The spark plugs in these engines should be recalled. |
