| Description of the problem | I was driving down us 281(busy 3 lane highway) in san antonio and the engine shut off causing me to coast to a stop in the middle of traffic. Once i got off of the road, the engine started up like nothing was wrong. After i inspected the fluids and saw everything checked out, i got back on the highway only to have the engine shut off again. I called ford to see if there was an issue reported or a recall, and there was nothing. I found over 300 complaints on various forums by typing in --2006 f150 failsafe--in the search engine. I think this is a real safety issue that ford needs to address before someone gets killed on the road. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S.
