| Description of the problem | 2004 ford f-150 drivers door window regulator suddenly failed and window fell down inside the door without any way to put window back up while driving down the road. Of course it was raining. After taking door apart i was able to get the window 3/4 of the way up but could not get it to go all of the way. 65k miles on truck. After doing research on this i guess that i was lucky that it lasted as long as it did. Looks like that ford has a design problem with this part and should be recalled. Definitely a safety hazard when it fails and you can't get or keep window up. |
