| Description of the problem | 2004 ford f150, 40k miles. Driving down road, hear loud pop, then the drivers side window fell into the door. Luckily glass did not shatter. Determined that window regulator had failed causing the problem (loud pop then window falling into door). Subsequent search of this failure indicated it is quite common. Federal government should require ford to issue a recall to proactively replace these defective parts. Could cause driver to suddenly lose control of vehicle. |
