| Description of the problem | I have had 2 window regulators fail on my vehicle within 2 months. The regulators have been on separated windows but both have been on the drivers side. At any given moment the cable snaps and the window falls down into the door. My first instance was the end of july while on a road trip. Now it is the beginning of october and my rear window dropped into the door frame with 57k miles on my vehicle. I do have an extended warranty; however, why should i pay a deductible everytime a faulty part breaks. Not to mention there are many people that don't have extended warranties. There are several reports of this happening. I have 2 windows left. Should i expect those cable to break at any given moment? Should we expect to replace all window regulators every 50k miles? Ford need to recall this faulty part! It is scary and potentially dangerous to have the window fall down all of the sudden when you are driving down the interstate. When the window falls down there is no way to get it back up. Everything in the vehicle starts to blow around and you can't see. I can't imagine what it would be like if it were raining when the regulator cable breaks. I appreciate any help you can provide. |
