| Description of the problem | While raising the front passenger window of my 2004 ford f150 truck, i heard a loud bang and the window dropped. The window could not be raised. From the stand point of safety, the wind noise driving at highway speeds creates a distraction and contributes to driver fatigue. If the failure occurs in heavy traffic at highway speeds, there is the real potential for the driver to be startled to the point of failure to retain control of the vehicle. From a physical security stand point, passengers, pets and personal property are all at risk if the vehicle cannot be secured. The only previous problem with power windows in this vehicle were with the rear window. |
