| Description of the problem | My 2004 f-150 lariat has had 4 of the 5 electric window regulators fail over the past 14 months. When these regulators fail the window loses all support and drops, unabated, into the door frame of the vehicle with a loud crash. Today it occurred on one of the rear windows where my infant daughter was sitting. It terrified her as we were on the interstate in a south florida thunderstorm. This is a known defect and ford charges between $350 and $400 to replace. I was lucky not to have crashed from the sudden scare. |
