| Description of the problem | 2004 ford f-150 super crew has had 3 window regulators fail since 2008. The most recent was on 9/2/09. The others were in april of 2008. In each instance, the vehicle was parked in a commuter parking lot when we arrived to see that the window(s) were down and would not roll up. We are fortunate that this has happened when we are not actually driving the vehicle. This could be a very serious safety issue if the window were to drop while driving in bad weather with a small child in the vehicle. Ford needs to recall this item and fix it for free. It is a very expensive repair at the dealer. Our particular truck has just under 45,000 miles on it. |
