| Description of the problem | I was raising the drivers side power window on my 2004 ford f150 when i heard a loud pop. At first the window stayed in place about 3/4 closed then it dropped down into the door. I took the truck to my local ford dealer who told me it was the window regulator and he was happy to replace it for $388. 32 + tax. I had no choice but to replace it. After i got home and did some research on the internet i learned that this is a common problem on both the 2004 and 2005 models and i can expect the remaining three windows to follow shortly. As common as this problem appears to be i feel ford should issue a recall on the part. |
