Description of the problem	After rolling down window to gain access into work parking lot in the morning, the window regulator clip broke resulting in the window being stuck in the down position. Truck was then left unattended with personal possessions and window wide open and vulnerable to theft while i was at work all day. Several dealers were contacted and then i finally found someone who could fix my problem the following day for $340. Truck was then driven directly home and the window was covered with plastic to prevent weather from entering vehicle overnight. Window regulator was then replaced with identical window regulator. This does not appear to be an isolated problem on 2004 ford f150 window regulators, and i am glad my case was not as severe as others (i. E. Windows falling into door panels). However, i do think this is a material/ design defect that needs to be addressed with ford motor vehicles. Ford truck owners should not have to worry about their windows failing each time they use their truck because a cheap piece of plastic is being used to save on cost. This is a simple issue that could be resolved by using a metal clip.
