Description of the problem	Stopped at a "red" traffic light with vehicle in front of me, the light turned green. I pressed the accelerator but nothing happened. I instinctively pressed farther on the accelerator, and then the engine revved too high which caused me to have to slam on the brakes before hitting the car in front of me. The throttle delay in "drive by wire" system is too pronounced and could lead to an accident, either in the manner that happened to me, or if i were to pull out into traffic thinking i had enough time but really didn't because of the throttle delay. The delay is usually around one second from the time i hit the gas to the time the engine rpm changes. I took the vehicle to the dealer, and they re-flashed the pcm to the latest version they had, but it did not seem to make any difference in throttle response. There is currently no tsb for this symptom.
