The dealer towed the vehicle to have an investigator diagnose the failure. The investigator concluded that the cause of the fire was the cruise control. The cruise control has not operated normally in over 1 year. Also, the dealer stated that there was a recall on the vehicle. Therefore, they werenot liable for damages.
