| Description of the problem | Truck(83000 miles) was parked in driveway. Went and started and the truck began to sputter and shake and the check engine light came on. Truck would not accelerate and i took to dealer. Began to shake even more and lose power. Problem was timing chain tensioner failure which caused failure to engine. Engines needs replaced. Dealer explained that this can happen at any time and usually causes major engine damage and failure. |
