| Description of the problem | 2004 ford f150. Vehicle shut off while driving with a boat in tow and would not re start. Had to have vehicle towed. Dealer diagnosed as failed fuel pump driver module. I was stranded in traffic, very dangerous. This is a known problem with ford f150 2004-2008. The module corrodes and causes a short circuit that blows the fuse to the pcm and results in total failure of the pcm, thus rendering the vehicle inoperable. This should be a recall item!!! |
