Description of the problem	Mice have eaten through the wires to my fuel sending unit. Several months ago the did ate through many wires in my engine compartment. It is my view that this presents a severe potential for fire which could easily injure or kill. These have been expensive repairs that could have been prevented if ford had not skimped on protection of their wiring harnesses. I can't believe that ford that claims their vehicles are built ford tough can't be protected from a small rodent. The first incident in august of 2005 cost over $1500 to repair and this second incident is estimated at approx $500. *nm
