| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2007 dodge ram 3500. While driving at approximately 65 to 70 mph, the vehicle made a loud banging noise and was towed to an independent mechanic. The technician diagnosed that the axle fractured at the transfer box and damaged the steering linkage. As a result, the transfer box, steering linkage, axle, and five sensors were replaced. The vehicle was repaired. In addition, the engine stalled without warning while towing a large trailer. The vehicle immediately restarted, but the failure recurred multiple times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer multiple times, but was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 54,000. |
