Description of the problem	Driving pu @ 65 mph/highway. Exited to convenience store. When departing/heard clunk noise/steering did not respond. Discovered front end parts dropped to ground/totally disconnected, etc. Towed to certified front end repair facility. Shop recommended most parts be replaced with mopar hd parts kit because original factory parts not replaced are not compatible w/mopar hd replacement kit. One week later after emergency repair completed i received recall notice citing possible steering system failure. Made contact w/case manager/chrysler and submitted all receipts. Call back informed original equipment parts not covered only replacement parts replacing original faulty parts/by dealer only. Help! Could have been much worse if failure had happened on hwy at high speed. Warning was just plain too late to go to dealer only. Chrysler link for requesting all docs is faulty and only gave 7 day window allowing request. Finally have fax # to request written decline from chrysler. Advise please.
