Description of the problem	The complaint has to do with the complete failure of the driver side tie rod assembly. The stud completely sheared from the end of the tie rod assembly. The driver side tie-rod failure occurred on the morning of april 26,2011. This failure happened with almost no warning. The steering became loose for a second or two and then the front of the truck shook violently for just an instant and then the tie-rod failure occurred with total loss of steering resulting in both front wheels pointing inward to their full extent. At this point i was traveling between 20-25 mph. The truck then skidded across two lanes of traffic and stopped at the curb. I would also like to point out that nothing was struck by my vehicle to cause this failure.
