| Description of the problem | This vehicle was recalled because of a problem with the steering linkage that could cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle and crash. When we took it to the dealer to verify the problem we were told that the defective part needed to be replaced but it would take 6 months because the manufacturer (chrysler) only ships 1 part per week to dealers. In other words, we have to drive a defective truck with a 4 year old child in the back seat for six months because there is a backlog of trucks needing the part replaced. Is this ok with your agency? Does president obama agree with this? |
