Description of the problem	The steering linkage in the ram broke. Luckily it happened in a parking lot and not on the freeway. The ram had to be towed. At the time the owner of the mechanic shop where the truck was towed noted that there have been problems with the steering linkage in other rams he serviced. He suggested we go with a different brand part to keep this from happening again. The recall notice came asking that if the problem was serviced prior to the recall notice that we send in the receipt for reimbursement. We sent in all the proper documentation. We were informed over the phone though that our claim was not to be reimbursed since we did not use mopar parts (which was not a requirement stated on the recall). Our reimbursement was rejected even though there was a issue with mopar parts and we chose to use a part that did not have a history of breaking. We don't feel we should have to pay for this problem.
