| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving 5 mph and attempting a three point turn, the vehicle would not respond. After inspecting the vehicle the contact noticed that the wheels were facing the opposite direction as a result of a fractured tie rod. The vehicle was towed to a local mechanic who confirmed the tie rod failure and advised that the tie rod, steering stabilizer and sway bar be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign id number: 11v350000 (steering:linkages:tie rod assembly).
