| Description of the problem | While pulling a trailer the left side brake and signal does not work. This is due to a faulty tipm. The trailer lights work on all our other vehicles. We were actually pulled over by the state highway patrol because of it. This is a severe safety issue and from the research i've done it is a common compliant with the 2006 dodge ram 2500 models. We were told by our local dodge dealership that every time this happens you have to take the truck in and have it "reflashed" but it can only be done 5 times. After that you have to replace the tipm but then you start all over again with it happening again. The tipm is not equipped to handle the tow package. |
