Description of the problem	Tlthe contact owns a 2005 dodge ram 2500 regcab 4x4 swb. While driving 70 mph, the contact heard a humming noise followed by a loud explosion. He looked in the rearview mirror and noticed metal pieces of the transfer case coming from under the vehicle. The contact attempted to apply the brakes, however, they failed to engage. The contact coasted the vehicle into the grass and it came to a stop. The dealer was unable to diagnose the cause of failure. . The current and failure mileages were 58,000.
