| Description of the problem | I received a safety recall notice from daimler chrysler stating that i need to have an "out-of-park alarm system" installed to correct a shift lever issue. Model years 2003 through 2005 heavy duty pickup trucks with automatic transmissions and a diesel engine are affected. I am appalled at this obvious inadequate attempt to correct a shift lever issue. Chrylser's "fix" is nothing more than an annoying "idiot" alarm used to mask the real problem. I refuse to have this alarm installed on my truck. |
