Description of the problem	Purchased dodge ram 2500 2004 4wd hemi brand new 2 weeks ago, 7/30/04. Put the truck in 4wd and drove for 1 mile. Took the truck out of 4wd, went to 2wd and the transmission would not engage. Left me stranded for 2 1/2 hours waiting for a tow truck when i was supposed to be on vacation. No rental car available because they would not give us one - new truck, under warranty, first time in 4wd. We were 3 hours from home in outer banks and closest dealer would not work on truck because he stated, "you should have bought your truck from me". We did not buy a truck from him because he only had a long bed. Had to argue with chrysler 24 hour road side assistance to make them two the truck back to dealer in virginia beach and they finally consented to pay for the whole trip. Truck went back home without us. We were extremely lucky to break down at a gas station.*ak
